Stampin' Up! Christmas Gleaming -Day 3 #30daychristmascardmakingchallenge

Welcome to my blog. This is the card for Day 3- #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge run by Martin Mayhem from UK. Each day will be different themes. I am very excited to take part in this fun challenge.

Today Day 3 – Candy Cane Christmas

For today’s Challenge I don’t have any Candy Stamp sets or related to the theme with me. I tried something completely different. Let know wht do you all think about it.
Everyone can take part in this Challenge and play with what you have. I used Stampin’ Up! ‘Christmas Gleaming’ , ‘Jar of flowers’ and ‘ The Right Triangle ‘ Stamp sets.

Here is the card,

I used Whisper White as my base card followed by the layers Poppy Parade and Whisper White again. I used some scrap piece of Whisper White and Poppy Parade Cardstock ( Stamped the image from the The right Triangle stamp set using Poppy Parade Stampin’ ink ) to give a candy look.

I used a image from the Jar of flowers stamp sets to make it as a Candy Cane ( but really I don’t know is it looking like a Candy?) Then next Christmas leaf is from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp set, I coloured it using light and dark shades of Old Olive Stampin’ blends and for the berries I added the frosted and clear epoxy droplets , coloured it using Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ dark blends.

I stamped dots from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set on the background using Tuxedo Black ink on the Stitched Nested Label dies and attached Silver metallic bow first using glue dots then I adhere two leaves together and added it to the middle using the dimensionals.

Sentiment was stamped using smoky slate Stampin’ classic ink.

As a final touch I added frosted and clear epoxy droplets on the base of the Stitched Nested Label dies to add some interest to the card and I decorated the inside using two stripes of straws as a Candy.
