Traditional Christmas Card

Hello my lovely crafty friends!

I’m so excited to share something new and festive with you today! I’ve been creating this card using the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge and what better way to showcase them than with the Traditional Christmas Suite from Stampin’ Up!?

This suite is absolutely stunning and it brings together all the classic Christmas vibes we love. The rich reds, elegant greens, and beautiful gold accents make it a must-have for your festive crafting! I am participating in this week’s Freshly made sketch Challenge.

One of my absolute favourite creations from this suite is a classic Christmas card featuring Cherry Cobbler and the Traditional Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP). This combination is everything I love about festive crafting – warm, rich, and elegant.

Cherry Cobbler Cardstock Base:
I started with Cherry Cobbler as my main card base. This deep, rich red adds instant sophistication and warmth it’s a colour that feels like Christmas all on its own! It gives a bold foundation for layering and really makes the details pop.

Traditional Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP):
I then chose one of my favourite patterns from the DSP pack. The Traditional Christmas DSP is filled with timeless festive prints from holly and pine sprigs to classic plaids.

Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper: I used this glimmer for die-cutting and also as a border for the DSP pieces.

Layering :
To design the layout, I followed the Freshly Made sketches. It helped me keep the layers clean, balanced, and perfectly aligned. I added the die -cut pieces from the Bubble Bath, Gold Foil and from the Peaceful Garden glimmer Paper.

Old Olive leaves are from the Delicate Pine Bundle, I need some small leaves so picked that one.

Touches of Sparkle and a Classic Sentiment:
To finish it off, I added a few sparkly accents, just enough to give that festive shimmer without overwhelming the design. A clean, simple Christmas sentiment from the Ephemera Pack , I sponged it using the secret sea inkpad.

Splatter – Splatter using Clear Wink of Stella and some gold embossing powder to create a gold look to the front of the card.

This card turned out to be the perfect blend of classic elegance and festive warmth. It’s one of those designs you’ll love recreating again and again for your holiday cards!

• Layer 3 DSP (2 Pieces) – 3.5cm x 5cm (1 1/4″x 2″) and 5cm x 9cm (2″ x 3 1/2″)
• Basic White Inside – 10cm x 14.3cm (4″ x 5 1/4″)
• Glimmer paper – 2cm x 10cm (3/4″ x 4″)
