Hop Abroad Instagram Hop – February 2026

Hi Crafty Friends!
Today I’m joining the InstaHop Blog Hop again! Each month we hop along with a different theme, and this month’s theme is all about… SHAPES!

I had so much fun playing with a mix of squares, rectangles, circles, and more — layering them together to create a clean but playful design. I also added a simple straight-line detail in the background to keep everything looking modern and balanced.

For my base card, I used Secret Sea — such a bold, rich colour that instantly makes the whole card feel so elegant and intense. It’s seriously the perfect base for making the shapes pop!

I chose a bright colour palette of Secret Sea, as my base Pool Party, with a touch of gold and for subtle effect I picked Basic Beige with some Old Olive.

I used different Geometric Shapes here- Circle, Strips, Oval. Hexagon, Rectangle and Scallop. I love the way how its turned out!

Measurements

• Secret Sea – 10.5cm x 29.7cm scored at 14.9cm( 4 1/4″x 11″scored at 5 1/2″)
• Layer 1 -Secret Sea 10cmx 14.4cm (4″x 5 1/4″ – embossed)
• Layer 2 -DSP 2cm x 10cm ( 4″ x 1″ – 2 Pieces)
• Layer 3- Secret Sea – 10cm x 12.4cm (4″x 4 1/4″)
• Inside – Basic White – 10cmx 14.4cm (4″x 5 1/4″ – embossed)

Designer Series Paper

Procedure:

• Hobby Heaven DSP makes the Job very easy here, I added the pre die-cut pieces from the DSP.
• Emboss the layer 1 Secret Sea using the strips embossing folder.
• Splatter some White Ink and Gold embossing to the background of the Secret Sea Layer.
• Sponge the die-cut circles using Pool Party then add the circle using glue to the background.
• Attach the Misty Moonlight Stylish Shapes Circles and Petal Pink Circle Shapes to the background suing glue.
• Make a double bow and attached it to the centre of the heart die-cut piece.

• The sentiments are stamped on Pool Party cardstock using Secret Sea Ink.
• Finish the inside of the card using some pre die-cut pieces from the DSP.

Finish the whole tag with a touch of Wink of Stella for that perfect hint of sparkle. ✨
