My today’s card for Fab Friday 201 sketch challenge.
I used Stampin’ Up! ‘ Timeless tropical ‘ Stamp set with the co-ordinating ‘ In the Tropics Dies’ and the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.

I used Smoky Slate as my base card followed by the layers, Smoky Slate, Whisper White , Designer Series Paper, Basic Black, Whisper White and Smoky Slate.
Measurements in Metric :
- Base Card Smoky Slate A4 Card Stock : 27.8 cm by 10.5 cm (Cut at half on 10.5 cm on 21cm side , scored and folded at half on 14.9 cm )
- First layer Smoky Slate : 10 cm by 14.4 cm ( embossed using Absolutely Argyle 3D Folder)
- Second layer : Whisper White 9 cm 13.4 cm
- Third layer Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper : 8.7 cm by 13.1 cm
- Fourth Layer Basic Black : 2 cm by 9.5 cm
- Fifth layer Whisper White : 2 cm by 14.4 cm
- Sixth Layer Smoky Slate : 9 cm by 14.4cm
- Basic Black : 10 cm by 14.4 cm ( Inside )
- Whisper White: 9.7 cm by 14.1 cm ( Inside )
- Scrap pieces of Basic Black, Real Red to stamp the sentiments and the image.
Measurements in Imperial: ( Letter Size card only )
- Base Card Very Vanilla : 8.5 ” By 11″ (Cut at half on 5 .5″, scored and folded at half on 4 1/4″ )
- First layer Smoky Slate : 4 ” by 5 1/4″
- Second layer: 3 1/2″ by 4 3/4″
- Third layer Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper: 3 3/8 ” by 4 5/8 “
- Fourth Layer Basic Black : 3/4 ” by 3 3/4 “
- Fifth layer Whisper White : 3/4 by 5 1/2 ”
- Sixth Layer Smoky Slate : 3/4 “by 5 1/2 “
- Basic Black : 4 ” by 5 1/4″ ( inside )
- Whisper White: 3 7/8″ by 5 1/8″ ( inside )
- Scrap pieces of Basic Black, Real Red to stamp the sentiments and the image.
I used Absolutely Argyle embossing folder for Smoky Slate first layer and for the centre piece of Smoky Slate I used Tasteful Textile embossing folder.
I stamped the image in basic Black Cardstock using Versamark Ink pad and heat embossed it using White Stampin’ Emboss powder.
Stamped the Sentiment in Real Red Cardstock using Versamark and White Stampin’ Emboss powder. For the background I Splatter some of the Clear Wink of Stella and Frost White Shimmer Paint using brush to white spots on the background.
I used Linen thread and In Good Taste Elements. I decorated inside in juts by adding the Designer Series Paper.
