Welcome to my blog. My today’s card for Martin’s Mayhem
Day 29 #30daychristmascardmakingchallenge – Chalkboard Christmas.
I never done this technique before but its very simple and classic, so much fun to create this card.
I used Stampin’ Up! ‘ Christmas Rose ‘ and for the sentiment I used ‘ Christmas Gleaming ‘ Stamp set.
All the Stampin’ Products are available at my Online Store.
I used Basic Gray as my base card, followed by the layers Whisper White and Basic Black.
First I used my embossing buddy on allover the Basic Black Cardstock . Then I Stamped the Christmas Rose image using Versamark ( Sticky ink) and added my Stampin’ White emboss powder once the powder stick to the stamped image, I used my heat tool to melt the White powder.
Measurements in Metric :
- Base Card Gray Granite/ Basic Gray A4 Card Stock :27.8 cm by 10.5 cm (Cut at half on 10.5 cm on 21cm side, scored and folded at half on 14.9 cm )
- First Whisper White : 10 cm by 14.4 cm
- Second Layer Gray Granite/ Basic Gray : 9.7 cm by 14.1 cm
- Basic Black : 10 cm by 14.4 cm ( Inside )
- Whisper White: 9.7 cm by 14.1 cm ( Inside )
- Scrap piece of Gray Granite/ White Vellum and Whisper White to stamp the sentiment.
Measurements in Imperial: ( Letter Size Cards )
- Base Card Gray Granite/ Basic Gray : 8.5 “by 11”(Cut at half on 5.5″, scored and folded at half on 4 1/4″ ).
- First Layer Whisper White : 4 ” by 5 1/4″.
- Second Layer Gray Granite : 3 7/8 ” by 5 1/8 “.
- Basic Black: 4″ by 5 1/4″ ( Inside ).
- Whisper White: 3 7/8″ by 5 1/8″ ( Inside )
- Scrap piece of Gray Granite/ White Vellum and Whisper White to stamp the sentiment.

This is the card used for the Video Tutorial.
You can see some Spots of White Emboss powder on the card, it’s accidentally happened but I like the look. Next Step I used Stampin’ White Ink, using the Sponge Daubers I applied on the whole Basic Black Cardstock to give little chalk look mainly in the centre of the rose little more but gradually on the full card. Then I stamped the Sentiment in Basic Gray on Whisper White Cardstock and adhere it on top of Smoky slate, White Vellum using Stampin’ Dimensional.
As a final touch I added Blue Adhesive Back- Gems ( values $14.00 FREE for my customers) on the card and attached the Whisper White Polkadot Tulle Ribbon.
I always love to decorate my inside, for today’s here, I stamped the rose in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink followed by the layers Smoky Slate and Whisper White.
