March 2026 Piccadilli Players Hop

The theme for our hop this quarter is “make it masculine.”

Hello Crafters,

Today’s Hop was with the 2024 Artisan Design Team members, coming together as The Piccadilli Players. This time, we’re playing along with a theme Challenge – is “make it masculine.”
I wanted to create something a little different with a vintage feel.

COLOUR PALETTE

For this card, I used the Gears and Texture Bundle, which is a fantastic set for masculine projects. To create the background, I started with watercolor paper and blended Summer Splash, Pretty Peacock, Early Espresso, and Pecan Pie for a rich, aged look.

I love how the colours and texture came together to create a masculine card with a unique vintage style.

Base card Summer Splash Cardstock -10.5cm x 29.7cm scored@14.8cm (4 1/4″ x 11″scored @5 1/2″)
Layer 1- Summer Splash -9.7cm x 14.8cm (3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″)
Layer 2: Fluid watercolor Paper -9.7cm x 14.8cm (3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″)
Inside- Very Vanilla 10.2cm x 14.6cm (4″ x 5 1/4″)

Create a background using the colours Summer Splash, Pretty Peacock, Early Espresso in a Watercolour Paper.
Stamp different images to the background using the color Basic Black.
Create another piece of background for die-cutting using the colours Crumb Cake, Pecan pie and Early Espresso.
Die-cut the pieces from the Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Stamp the sentiments using black embossing powder on Pecan Pie cardstock.
